Exemplary Leader Award Dinner a Smash Success
| |
Nearly 500 people joined together for the annual ALF dinner presented by Wells Fargo on April 28th at the Sheraton Grand to honor this year's Exemplary Leader Award honoree, Class III's Fred Teichert.
In addition to honoring Fred, the evening featured a good portion of networking time, a silent auction, and the return of the live auction.
Many thanks to all of our sponsors, attendees, and auction donors and
bidders -- it takes a community to produce a successful event!
WELLS FARGO MATCHES SCHOLARSHIP DONATIONS Margaret Fortune, Class XII, served as our Scholarship Ambassador, kicking off the "fund-a-scholarship" portion of the live auction by telling the audience how ALF has impacted her life and the work she is doing. The "fund-a-scholarship" drive quickly raised $12,000 for the ALF scholarship fund. The surprise of the evening came when Class V's Randy Reynoso and his partners at Wells Fargo announced at the conclusion that their company would match the scholarship drive, instantly doubling the fund. Thanks, Randy and everyone at Wells Fargo!

Volunteers Needed to Help Plan Summer Party | |
Can you help plan the social event of the summer season?
The annual Summer Party is approaching (date not set yet, but has traditionally been on a Sunday in late June) and the Fellowship Committee invites any and all who would like to help plan the event. A couple of meetings and a pair of helpful hands the day of the event is all that is required.
If you would like to help out, contact Scot in the ALF office at scot@alf-mvc.org or (916) 920-5669.
