Greetings!

May kicks off a new year for ALF -- Class XIII begins its year, a new fiscal year begins and Bonnie Ferreira starts as ALF's new Executive Director.

And, as always, we have PLENTY of opportunity to connect to other ALF members, with more being planned all the time.

Take a look at what's going on...

Bonnie Ferreira Starts Her ALF-MVC Executive Director Role

Bonnie FerreiraI'm looking forward to working together!

I am honored and thrilled to be here and I want to thank our incredible Board members and you, our Sr. Fellows for all your support and good wishes.  I also want to thank Scot for all of his hard work and support in this transition.

Over the next few months I will be working closely with our Board to begin a strategic planning process which includes discussions regarding how we see ALF evolving over the next few years.  I will be visiting with many of you to explore your thoughts on ALF's evolution as well.  Please feel free to contact me directly (bonnie@alf-mvc.org or 916-920-5669) and share your thoughts about ALF moving forward.

Nominate for Class XIV

Class XIV logoSelection Committee needs to hear from you with nominations of excellent leaders

With Class XII in the ranks of Sr. Fellows and Class XIII ready to get going in May, it's time to turn our attention to developing Class XIV (that's 14 for the Roman-Numerically challenged).

ALF needs to hear from you about regional leaders whom you feel would make excellent Fellows.  Don't assume the selection committee will know them -- Nominate them with sufficient information to make clear their value to the region.  Sing their praises and the selection committee will take notice.

Focus groups will convene again this year, so to make sure your nominee gets the most attention, complete your nomination by May 30.  And keep an eye out for the focus group dates -- we encourage you to participate in the selection process.
