Event Follow-up: Sr. Fellows' Retreat Hugely Successful
|
|
Evaluation shows 85% thought Retreat was one of the best ever!
What made it so great?
Well, let's see... Bill Isaacs wowed 'em with a mental rearrangement and a peek into his upcoming new book, dancers wouldn't allow the ALF-All Star Band to end their performance, Jim Mayer of California Forward let us sink our teeth into real issues around our state's many systemic problems (sign up for California Forward's e-newsletter to keep on top of their work), and above all, plenty of time to reconnect and make new friends.
See Stephen Tse's pictures to get a sense of the fun!

January's Third Thursday: Proposition 8 Unraveled
|
|
Join us for informal conversation around a hot topic of the day!
Thursday, January 15, 5:30 - 7:30 pm, $16 RSVP
The election is over, but the many threads of Proposition 8 continue to be unraveled. At the request of several Fellows we have organized an special 3rd Thursday session at Sierra Health to explore the civil rights and other issues in this controversial proposition.
We will have a Constitutional Law professor from McGeorge, courtesy of Class VIII's Elizabeth Parker, as well as Fellows from all sides of the issue to lead off the discussion. This controversy isn't going to go away any time soon, so join us as we explore ways of coming together for the good of all concerned.
