Join us for a hands-on look at academic and athletic excellence for prospective families in grades 6-12 on Tuesday, April 27 from 6:30-8 p.m. Meet our new leadership team: President and Head of School Sister Mary E. Tracy, Middle School Principal Polly Skinner and High School Principal Tom Lord. A brief welcome presentation is planned at 6:30 p.m. The evening includes hands-on activities for kids, preview of 6-12 curriculum, a chance to meet teachers and coaches and personal tours with current students. Providence Marianwood Foundation 10th Annual Spring Luncheon Providence Marianwood will host its 10th Annual Spring Celebration Luncheon on Thursday, May 6, 2010, featuring Emmy-award winning actor, entertainer and radio legend Pat Cashman as the keynote speaker. The luncheon, from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at Snoqualmie Ridge Golf Club, 36005 SE Ridge St., in Snoqualmie, is the premier fundraiser for the Providence Marianwood Foundation and residents of the Issaquah skilled nursing home. Cashman's talk will reflect on growing old and will be delivered with his signature humor. A tax-deductible donation of $150 per person is suggested at the time of the event. The Chris Elliott Fund for Glioblastoma Brain Cancer Research (CEF) is a non-profit organization that raises awareness and funds specifically aimed at taking on brain cancer. CEF has raised more than $1 million for brain cancer research across the country and provides countless resources, information and support to people living with the disease. CEF funds groundbreaking research in the Christopher S. Elliott Neuro-oncology Lab for Glioblastoma Brain Research and Applied Science Center at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, Mass. The organization is developing and funding the Integrative Patient Support Program at The Ben and Catherine Ivy Center for Advanced Brain Cancer Treatment in Seattle's Swedish Neuroscience Institute. www.chriselliottfund.org
