The Providence Marianwood Foundation on Jan. 28, 2010, will present a workshop on how to Preserve Family History through Photo Restoration & Repair. Photo Restoration and Retouch expert Joe Townsend of Redmond will illustrate typical damage suffered by cherished photos and vintage documents, damage that includes tears, fading, discoloration and aging. He'll explain how restoration preserves your family's heritage for children and grandchildren. Participants will learn what repairs and restorations are available. Guests are encouraged to bring their own photos and documents for Townsend to assess. The free event is sponsored by the Providence Marianwood Foundation and will be held at Providence Marianwood, 3725 Providence Point Drive, SE, in Issaquah and run from 5 to 6 p.m. Please RSVP to 425-391-2895. Refreshments will be served. Providence Marianwood is the only non-profit healthcare provider in east King County for short-term rehabilitation following surgery or injury, or long-term care for those with ongoing needs.
