SCC declares the week of October 5th - 9th serious networking week beginning with Wednesday, October 7th with the Grand Opening of Agave Cucina Tequilas at 5:15pm, again October 8th at 5:30pm at Ideal Care Home for Seniors and finishing up with the grand finale at Salon 074 on Friday, October 9th at 5:30pm. City Council Candidates Face Off in Free Forum October 7th at 7PM - Voters in the City of Sammamish are invited to attend a City Council Election Forum Wednesday, October 7, 2009, 7PM at the Sammamish Hills Lutheran Church, 22818 SE 8th St.  All City Council Candidates have responded that they will attend.  A second Forum will be held on October 15, 11:30 - 1PM at the Plateau Club, hosted by the Sammamish Chamber of Commerce.

Eastside Catholic Invites Community To Participate in Second Annual Bamba Dash 5K Run/Walk on September 27
Eastside Catholic School will host its second annual Bamba Dash 5K run/walk on Sunday, September 27. Race begins at noon and check-in starts at 11 a.m. The run begins and ends at the Eastside Catholic campus in Sammamish and is open to the community. Cost is $25 and includes a BBQ immediately following the event for participants, families and friends. Proceeds benefit Eastside Catholic's sister schools in Bamba, Kenya. Registration and waiver forms can be found at www.eastsidecatholic.org .

At our September 28th meeting, representatives from Weber Shandwick, a leading integrated communications agency with a local Seattle office and presence in 77 markets around the world, will present. The presenters are part of the company's Digital Communications practice, which includes strategists that help clients understand, apply and benefit from social and emerging media (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, etc.) in measurable ways. Primary focus of the presentation will be on: key social and emerging media tools and their value; social and emerging media trends with interest and impact to non-profits; and helpful best practices and/or considerations for leveraging social/emerging media with limited-to-no budget.
