Monday, 7/20 - Come Play the Old Fashioned Way  as SCC, the ARAS Foundation & the City of Sammamish host a Volunteer Appreciation at Beaver Lake Lodge!  Potluck begins at 6:30pm.  Games at 8-9pm.  Bring a salad or side dish.   If you would like to bring a dessert to auction off (proceeds to benefit the ARAS Foundation) please contact Mary@ARASFoundation.org

Luncheon Speaker: Hank Klein & Kakuta Ole Hamisi Kakuta Ole Hamisi is a man of two worlds - the Maasai culture of East Africa and the western world of the Pacific Northwest.  A visionary as well as a practical leader, Hamisi has worked for years to bring education and healthcare improvements to his native community so that his people can be agents of their own change.  Hank Klein, Sammamish resident, has joined Hamisi in this pursuit and shares his enthusiasm and vision.  Together they will introduce you to the Maasai people, their traditional way of life, and their dreams for the future.
