 | Postcards from Norton Says | After spending a little time traveling through the Midwest Norton is back home in Missouri. Norton set out in mid-April....his goal - to spread the love. As with any road trip there was a lot of driving and a lot of countryside. With Norton's road trip there was also a lot of winery stops. In Indiana, Norton visited Oliver winery, the largest winery in the state. After an educational tour and tasting, Norton spread his love by sharing some Missouri Norton with his tour guide. Norton then stopped at Chateau Thomas Winery outside of Indianapolis for a wine tasting before heading to Ohio. Norton got around in Ohio. Norton learned about chocolate covered wine bottles at Firelands Winery. He also made stops at Ferrante Winery and South River Winery where he was able to spread his love with many Norton first-timers, making lots of new friends. Norton then spent a few days socializing and meeting his fans and followers at License to Steal: National Wine Marketing Conference. He was introduced to conference attendees by Georg Riedel, head of the famed Riedel glassware company, and later thrilled and enchanted the many wine lovers there who enjoyed his company at the wine receptions and dinners. Norton's love is contagious. Not only have people across the country fallen for Norton, but rumor has it there's a little romance developing between Norton and Indiana's state grape Ms. Traminette. The two were spotted at the License to Steal Conference together on numerous occasions. View the highlights of Norton's road trip on You Tube and check out his road trip photo album on Facebook. You can also keep up with Norton on Twitter. |

Wine & Health - A glass of red wine with dinner may help your brain to build resistance to stroke according to investigators at Johns Hopkins University. Red wine and its component, resveratrol, a powerful antioxidant found primarily in grape seeds and skin, may offer this protection. Scientists have found that resveratrol increases levels of a particular enzyme already known to provide neuro-protection; when levels of this enzyme are elevated, the brain is better prepared when, and if, a stroke occurs. |
