GGRD Makes a Strong Showing Against LADD

 The 2011 GGRD season started off away from the comforts of the flat track with a stalwart first ever bout on the banked track. A team comprised of some of Gotham Girls Roller Derby's top skaters (including a guest appearance by GGRD retiree, Cheapskate) traveled to Los Angeles to take on the LA Derby Dolls' all-star team, the Ri-Ettes, on their home turf. While Gotham was able to pull ahead of LA for part of the game, LA came out on top with a 132-106 victory.  Derbytaunt Ball is around the corner, which means it's time for you to meet the next generation of skaters to join the ranks of your favorite teams.
