THIS SATURDAY NIGHT — SEASON FINALE
GGRD RETURNS TO C.C.N.Y. FOR BRONX v QUEENS

The finals will be at Nat Holman Gymnasium at C.C.N.Y. - a larger room to accommodate more fans! The Bronx is targeting a repeat championship and their third title overall; Queens is looking to snare the Golden Skate for the fourth time in GGRD's six seasons.

Additionally, the Queens of Pain and their fans will be battling to give their captain, Suzy Hotrod, a championship send-off. Suzy, the six-year GGRD veteran, is among a handful of skaters making their final home track appearances.

Emotions will be at an all-time high come bout night, both on the track and in the stands, and with Queens ultra-motivated to send Suzy out with a championship, what happens in the first five minutes of the game could very well dictate the outcome. So for the Gridlock, their initial key may be to come out fast and take the crowd out of the equation immediately and make this just another night on the track.

'It's extremely important,' agrees [Bronx Captain Brigitte] Barhot. 'We can't let that infiltrate our plan, our strategy, our fight, our desire to win.'
