Gotham fans — are you ready to cheer as Papierschnitt blocks for Suzy Hotrod? Bonnie Thunders takes a whip from Fisti Cuffs? Donna Matrix blocks side-by-side with Swede Hurt?

The Gotham Girls Roller Derby All-Stars will be battling for the WFTDA Eastern Regional Tournament title on September 24, 25 and 26 at the Westchester County Civic Center in White Plains, NY. Buy your tickets here!

On their home teams, the Gotham Girls fight each other tooth-and-nail — but playing together, the Gotham All-Stars are an unstoppable force, currently ranked #1 in the world by Derby News Network.

Gotham bouts at 6pm on Friday. A win puts GGRD in the semifinals at 2pm Saturday, while a loss has them in the consolation bracket at 6pm Saturday. The Eastern Region Championship is at 6 PM on Sunday. Here are the full brackets. Come see the Gotham Girls as they take their first steps towards reclaiming the WFTDA Championship! GGRD's All-Stars are seeded #1 in the region. Watch them battle regional invitees Philly (#2), Boston (#3), Baltimore (#4), Pittsburgh (#5), Montréal (#6), Raleigh (#7), Providence (#8), Lancaster (#9), and Washington D.C. (#10). Only the top three teams will qualify for spots at the WFTDA Championship in Chicago in November.

Weekend, day and evening passes available on line at discounted prices from now until the tournament starts, and tickets will be available at the door (cash only). Suburbia Roller Derby has also lined up drink specials from Sailor Jerry's Rum all weekend long. Show your tournament bracelet at participating bars on Friday and Saturday night. Join the Gotham Girls and our friends from around the region for the official after-party on Sunday at the Brazen Fox and Ron Black's, 175 and 181 Mamaroneck Avenue in White Plains.

Bombs Away! Brooklyn Makes Statement with Win Over Manhattan

In the Brooklyn Bombshells' final 2010 regular season bout against the Manhattan Mayhem Saturday night (Sept 11), there was no championship berth on the line for the Bombshells, no quest for a spot in first place. All that the skaters from across the river were playing for at Hunter College was pride, and that was enough, as they scored a rousing 125-80 victory over the Mayhem that ended their 1-2 home season on a high note.
