Gotham's All-Stars, the WFTDA's 2008 National Champions, are ranked #1 in the WFTDA's East Region and #2 nationally by Derby News Network. Charm City's All-Stars are ranked #4 in the WFTDA's East Region and #11 nationally by Derby News Network.

This hour-long bout is preceded by a 30-minute opening clash between Gotham's Wall Street Traitors and the Lake Effect Furies, the All-Stars of Queen City Roller Girls from Buffalo, New York.

AFTER PARTY at UNION HALL

Meet your favorite skaters from New York, Baltimore, and Buffalo at the official afterparty at Union Hall, 702 Union Street near Fifth Avenue in Park Slope. (Just two subway stops south of the venue -- travel to the Union stop on the R or M trains.) Derby-themed cocktails after 1am!

This after-party will feature just-recorded video from the bout earlier in the evening, so if you can't get tickets to the bout, come watch what you missed at Union Hall!

Tickets are now on sale now for five regular season GGRD bouts, from May through August 2010. Dates are shown at left for the hottest Saturday nights in the city.

Reserve your seats now to see the Bronx Gridlock, Manhattan Mayhem, Queens of Pain, and Brooklyn Bombshells battling it out on the track.

The 2010 Derbytaunt Ball will be the night after the first bout - Sunday, April 11th.

Come meet the meat! The Derbytant Ball is the league's annual blow-out at which we introduce the fresh crop of rookie skaters and incoming transfers.

Don't miss the dramatic team assignment ceremony. Who's going to ride with the Gridlock? Shackle up on Mayhem? Go sailing with the Bombshells? Staff the Queens dungeon?

Sunday night, April 11th at Public Assembly, in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, at 7pm. Featuring DJ Reaganomics, free Brooklyn Brewery suds for the first hour, and grub from San Loco.

GGRD Basic Training - for beginners

GGRD Boot Camps - for current derby skaters

Basic Training is the place for anyone interested in learning the sport of roller derby, trying out for a derby league, being a referee or just working on basic skating skills.

We welcome all skill levels. Come in as a beginning skater, an ice or inline skater wanting to try out quad skating, or an existing derby skater or referee from another league (male or female!). We focus on the basics, and our coaching staff can make modifications to make drills more or less challenging for different skill levels.

Basic Training classes will be held on alternating Friday and Saturday evenings twice a month.

Boot Camps are targeted toward active members of derby leagues following WFTDA rules who have already passed their basic skills test.
