The Brooklyn Bombshells celebrated their first regular-season victory of 2009 over an injury-depleted Queens squad in front of a sell-out Hunter crowd.
... a hell of a game. Brooklyn really showed how much they have grown as a team ... The half-time show wowed the crowed as Miss Saturn took her colorful hoops and rocked them on the rink. The bleacher vibrated with stomps and clapping after she managed to keep over a dozen hoops rotating around her body with out missing a beat. - L. Covington, New York Press
Photographs from this game were also featured in a gallery on the Sports Illustrated web site, and the Gotham Girls' friends at Indiepix Films posted their own photos and videos from the evening. The bout also marked a flashy GGRD debut by Mistress of the Knife, an experienced mid-season transfer from the QuadSquad RollerGirls of Columbia, South Carolina. Have no fear, Queens fans -- your Queens of Pain will be back at full strength to face the Sockit Wenches on October 24th!
