PDSS Celebrates its Seventh Anniversary!

PDSS was incorporated in August of 2002. Here's a quick look back over the past seven years.

2002-PDSS incorporates August 13 with one client, and ends 2002 with three clients.

2003-Publication of the book Design for Six Sigma in Technology & Product Development, co-authored by Skip Creveling, President of PDSS, and his business partner, Jeff Slutsky. The book proves to be a key factor for attracting clients for PDSS. PDSS signs new clients in the medical device, diesel engine, electronics, HVAC and recreational equipment industries and makes presentations at two industry conferences.

2004-PDSS begins work for Motorola. Skip Creveling/PDSS are cited in a Motorola product development case study in the October issue of PDMA's Visions magazine. PDSS signs its first major pharmaceutical client.

2005-Skip presents at the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) International Symposium, held in Rochester, NY. PDSS signs new clients in the building product and safety equipment industries.

2006-Skip Creveling, Burke McCarthy and Lynne Hambleton publish Six Sigma for Marketing Processes. The book is chosen as one of Booz Allen Hamilton Inc.'s "Best Business Books 2006" in the Winter 2006 issue of "strategy+business". PDSS launches its website re-design and signs new clients in the electronics, commercial aircraft and automotive equipment industries.

2007-Skip Creveling publishes the book, Six Sigma for Technical Processes. PDSS begins work with the U.S. Army's R&D center, ARDEC, in Picatinny Arsenal, NJ.

2008-PDSS begins publishing the monthly e-newsletter you are reading. Skip Creveling prepares the manuscript for his next book, "FutureSigma".

2009-PDSS launches a new workshop series, FutureSigma: Six Sigma for Problem Prevention. Skip Creveling co-presents with the U.S. Army at ASQ's Lean Six Sigma conference. For the second year in a row, Mr. Creveling has been invited to lecture at the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie-Mellon University. For the fifth year in a row, he was invited to lecture at MIT in the System Design & Management (SDM) program on the topic of Critical Parameter Management (CPM). He was also invited to be the keynote speaker at the U.S. Army's ARDEC Quality Conference. PDSS begins work with another major pharmaceutical manufacturer.

Over the years, PDSS has employed or subcontracted over 50 people and done consulting and training in 16 countries (besides the U.S.) and one U.S. Territory. They are Belgium, Canada, China, France, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Korea, Mexico, Netherlands, Poland, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

We'd like to thank all of our clients, consultants, friends and suppliers and we look forward to many more years of serving our customers!
