Springtime fishing is right around the corner.  We are nailing down the details on fishing retreats to Santee Cooper, Lake Murray, and Lake Wateree.  If you are interested in bringing a group of men from your church on one of our fishing retreats, let us know soon.  These retreats will book quickly.

Connecting Men to Christ in the Outdoors

TN Boys PrayingHonestly, some nights I lay in bed just scratching my head in amazement at all that God is doing through Ironman Outdoors.  Men are making decisions, new landowners are contacting us, and Christian men from Texas to Wilmington, NC are contacting us wanting to get involved.  I want to say thanks to all of you who support this ministry...it is powerful thing to watch God move!

TN Boys Git-R-Done

Tolliver HogThis past weekend we hosted a retreat near Alcolu, SC.  The guys on the trip were from Rogersville, TN.  Honestly, it was like being in hunt camp with Larry the Cable Guy!   My abdominal muscles (hidden by my fat muscles) are still recovering from the laughter of this past weekend.  One guy asked if a hog would stop running if you grunted at him?  Another guy responded "the only hog stopper that works for me is a .300 winchester magnum."  Not only did they stop the hogs, they put them on the ground.  Three large hogs were killed 150lb, 175lb, and 210lb and many more hogs were seen.  Thanks to the Durant family and the Hodge family for allowing us to use their farms this past weekend.

Chris Wells led our manhood discussion the first night and 3 men made decisions for Christ.  Numerous other men rededicated their lives for God's glory.  The second evening PJ Calcutt led our discussion and shared his story.  I always have men come up to me after these guys share their story and say "man, that could have been my story."  God moves in a powerful way when men find out THEY ARE NOT ALONE!

We Need an Enclosed Trailer

Enclosed TrailerI realize that I've got a little Fred Sanford in me.  When we go on these weekend retreats we take everything but the kitchen sink and it probably looks like a yard sale on wheels.  We have an immediate need for an enclosed trailer for Team Ironman.  With an enclosed trailer we could carry all of our cooking items (grill, turkey fryers, propane tanks), T-shirts, supplies, coolers, archery targets, etc. all in one trailer that would be safe from the elements.  And when it comes time for the next retreat we could just hook up the trailer and go.

If you know anyone who has an enclosed trailer and is looking to get rid of it, PLEASE let us know.  The Harley crowd hauls motorcycles and contractors haul their tools in these kinds of trailers.  I'm certian our ministry cannot afford to go and buy a new $3,000 trailer...nor would that be a good use of God's money.  I truly believe that we have not talked with the right person yet about this trailer.  And we've got William Cermak (the official mechanic of Team Ironman) on standby with the paint and IO logo to be put on the side of the trailer.  If you have a lead on one of these trailers, call Patrick at 803-786-4838.
