We have the program for you! Our 2011-12 School & Group Programs brochure includes an amazing array of programs that you can enjoy at the Museum or at your location. In addition to touring the Museum's interactive galleries, exploring astronomy in Planetarium Shows, and discovering science with hands-on exploration programs, you can take a behind-the-scenes tour of the Museum's Archives or Collections, enjoy interactive Science Demonstrations, and soak up Special Topic Presentations on The History of Spaceflight, The Early Days of Radio & TV, and more.

Our Annual Meeting will be held Thursday, October 27 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at the Museum. Please join us as we celebrate STEM Education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math). See the year in review and a special sneak peek at our new program, Hidden Power: Energy, Electricity and Efficiency, developed by the Franklin Institute and the Penn State Center for Nanoscale Science. Explore the Museum's interactive exhibits and enjoy time for mingling and refreshments.

ZOOM Into Science FETCH!stival Saturday, November 5 12 - 4PM Don't miss this annual favorite! Meet science dog Ruff Ruffman and explore the FETCH! Lab. Test scientific principles, see demonstrations and zoom into science throughout the Museum. Enjoy a fun-filled afternoon of scientific exploration and hands-on activities like the ones seen on FETCH! with Ruff Ruffman and other PBS Kids' shows. Last year, visitors built domes with gum drops and toothpicks (see photo) and much more! ZOOM Into Science FETCH!stival is FREE with Museum admission.

Recent Grants
Special thanks to the following for their generous support:
Stewart's Shops has awarded a grant for $2,500 to the Museum's Powering the Future: The STEM Fund, to provide field trip transportation assistance during the 2011-2012 school year for underserved youth whose lack of resources would otherwise prevent participation.
Transfinder has awarded a grant for $1,500 to the Powering the Future: The STEM Fund, to provide field trip transportation assistance during the 2011-2012 school year for underserved youth in Schenectady County whose lack of resources would otherwise prevent a visit to the Museum.
Schenectady Insuring Agency has awarded a grant for $750 to the Powering the Future: The STEM Fund. This funding will assist underserved youth from elementary schools in the Schenectady City School District to participate in the Museum's educational programming through discounted admissions and/or transportation assistance during the 2011-2012 school year.
