Good Manners are a Good Habit
Thank you
Raising a polite child doesn't mean that they must behave like a member of the von Trapp family. Raising polite children is simply about encouraging respect. At 18-months, a child begins to understand that other people have feelings just like theirs. As brain development progresses and children gain social experience, they develop a remarkable capacity to consider others' wants, needs, and desires.

Polite behavior is a valuable social skill that will help your child throughout their life. "You wouldn't send a child off to preschool without a healthy snack," says Sheryl Eberly, author of 365 Manners Kids Should Know. "Sending her into the world without knowing social graces is equally problematic."

Classes at The Little Gym are purposefully designed to assist your child in their social and emotional development. Songs, games, and activities focus on listening, sharing, taking turns, and sportsmanship. These experiences teach children respectful manners and other traits such as kindness, patience, and consideration. Good manners are a good habit. But good habits only develop through continued practice.

Bring A Friend Week begins next week for  TWO weeks! (Sept.13th-Sept. 25th)

Your children love to share The Little Gym with their friends!  Due to popular demand of your children, we are having TWO weeks of Bring a Friend, so every child will have a chance to bring a friend or two!

Week 1 begins next week- Sept 13th- 17th! Our fabulous themes are Super Models for parent child classes, Robot Riot for pre-k, and Set the Record for grade school.

Week 2 is from Sept. 20th-Sept.25th.  Our theme for this week is Super Friends for all age groups!

We are inviting your children to bring a friend to class.  If your child has a friend who is roughly the same age and would like to come, please give us a call and make a reservation to bring them along.  Parents, you may also refer your friends too!

Members receive 400 Member Milestone points for each referral that signs up for classes.  New Members receive an extra 100 points when enrolling during any Bring a Friend week.

Please keep in mind, some classes are full and for safety reasons the children in those classes are encouraged to "bring a stuffed friend".  The Little Gym also requires that a waiver be signed by your friend's parent.  If you have any questions or to reserve a spot, please contact us by e-mail or phone at 540-662-0411!

For additional information, please contact Heather Kidwell, co-owner, The Little Gym of Winchester.
