What About ME...the parent?
First, some Gray Wolf mothers, and then some of their sons (Gray Wolf alumni), participated in Solutra workshops. Now, we are offering the same opportunity to you, the Gray Wolf fathers. Many parents with a struggling teen or young adult, spend months or years focused on getting help for their child and supporting his or her healing. But once their child is in treatment or on the path to recovery, it is not uncommon for that parent to ask, "What about me, how do I reclaim my life?" That's where Soltura comes in. The Soltura workshops focus on providing an experience where you can slow down, focus on your own needs, while being empowered to live with personal freedom and rekindle a loving relationship with your true self. We believe that being the best YOU possible will impact all your relationships and your life journey. You are invited to join other fathers of Gray Wolf Ranch residents and alumni for the Father's workshop scheduled for November 10-14, 2010, to be held at the Soltura Workshop facility near Lakebay, WA. For more information and to register for this event, visit the Gray Wolf website or call Woody Bernas at (800) 571-5505. Want to talk to other fathers who have participated and learn about their experience at Soltura? -- contact Carole Rosenberg, Soltura Executive Director, at (253) 857-3444 or info@Soltura.net. |

One Family's Soltura Experience
We had a teenager in trouble and responded by getting him help. We also took it a step further and got ourselves some help by attending the Soltura workshops. These workshops had a life changing impact on us personally, and it also dramatically deepened our relationship with our son. We saw him with different eyes which greatly helped him with his own recovery.
Through opening ourselves up to the truth of who we are, we found ourselves back together in the family unit with a different dynamic. We are now more open with each other. Each person in our home is given the freedom to live out their choices. Acceptance, forgiveness and grace now play a part in our family relationships.

Gray Wolf Mother's Experience
The workshop was the most amazing experience in my life and I'm confident my new "sisters" agree wholeheartedly. Naively, I expected a personal growth experience that would help me learn about living with my son's addiction and, in the process, learn more about myself. I had no clue what "using the principles of experiential education and attitudinal healing" really meant and, since I've climbed a few mountains in my day, I figured "getting out of my comfort zone" would be not all that uncomfortable. Wrong. Suffice it to say, the Soltura experience was truly life changing...The women [in my workshop] came together as strangers with one thing in common--mothers of addict sons, most having a connection to Gray Wolf Ranch. By Sunday morning, we had become "Soltura Sisters" who could barely stand to part with each other. We all agree that had Gray Wolf not offered the workshop, none of us would have had the amazing experiences that we had and we'd still be struggling with our son's addiction/recovery in the same old ways. We are now able to handle our son's addiction and on-going recovery with new strength, grace and understanding. -- Ginnie, Bellevue, WA
