Philemon Reid became interested in art at a very young age.  As a youth, he was drawn to Cubism and the artist Picasso. By studying Cubism and mainly Picasso, he developed his own unique style.

Philemon Reid is primarily known for his music themed art prints and posters. He has a great love for Blues and Jazz and creates his paintings from the moods and feelings he experiences while listening to music.  His main medias are pen, ink and oil painting.  He has a love for both and often renders a subject in pen and/or ink as well as in oil painting.
