For the past couple of years I have been writing a weekly email newsletter named Gem of the Week. I email out a local real estate listing that I find to be a particular Gem. A house's "gem worthiness" can be based on its appearance, its location, its price...really just about anything that strikes me as "intriguing". Over time I have developed a significant readership and I have decided to convert to a blog format so readers can offer their opinions as well. This blog will be devoted to all things "real estate" and will, of course, continue to feature a new Gem listing every week. Since there will be daily posts, I am expanding the topics covered to include weekly statistics of local markets, recent property transfers/sales (who doesn't love those) and different observations I have regarding buying and selling property (trust me as a Realtor and an investor, I see a lot).
