VIDEO CASTING CALL FOR "YOU/BROOKLYN BEAUTY" BY KOMPLEX Video shoot is on Wednesday, June 27 in Baltimore, MD
Komplex/Mr Keep on Moving is taking us back this summer. Back to the 90's. Back to love notes and proms, summer vacations and crushes. This song "You/Brooklyn Beauty" is an ode to late night telephone "boo-loving" and drawing hearts with your name and the name of the person with whom you just know you are going to be with forever! That's what this song feels like and the upcoming video (to be released mid-July) promises to capture just that vibe with a twist of the Caribbean flavor that makes Brooklyn the little Caribbean that it is and makes this tune the perfect summer time love song THAT much more lovable and catchy.
WANT TO BE FEATURED IN THE VIDEO?
Seeking 8 people for video: 1 teenage girl who can look 16-ish (we have a young man to play a young version of KoM) 1 older Caribbean married couple late 50s-70s 5 Caribbean girls of different nationalities: Asian, Indian and brown-skinned and a light-skinned girl. Girls should look between 18 and 30 and MUST be slim/shapely NOT overweight and have tons of personality.
Girls should be able to dance on camera --nothing explicit, just some old 90s reggae dances, pepperseed, mock the dread, bogle, etc..... fun stuff. We can learn the dances on set...no major choreography The theme is 90s and clothes/styling should reflect that.
There will be drinks provided by Chairman's Reserve Rum and a photographer shooting some behind the scenes.

Greetings,
Welcome to Summer! Yesterday, on the first day of Summer in Washington DC, it was HOT like whoa. Today it is still HOT and feels hotter to some, even those of us who come from warmer territories. June in itself is typically a warm month and of course, like in the past, things are getting hotter in terms of events and happenings and the fact that it IS Caribbean American Heritage Month. Yes, there IS heat in the place! Speaking of HEAT, the Miami Heat is poised to take the NBA championship later tonight if they win the game against Oklahoma City Thunder so I am sure many eyes will be glued to their TV sets later. I so enjoyed Game 4 that I want my boy Russell Westbrook to take over the court tonight; that way the games will continue...I'm just saying :-)
In the past, this would be the BIG weekend that the DMV massive and crew and visitors from all over are waiting for -- the DC Carnival Street parade. Unfortunately, I got it from the "horse's mouth" that the Carnival Parade will not happen so if YOU did not get that memo, click on the link below and watch my exclusive PEP Talk pre-release interview with Loughton Sargeant of DC Caribbean Carnival.

MEET HORACE DALEY
Horace A. Daley was born in an inner-city community in Kingston, Jamaica and attended Calabar High School in Kingston, Jamaica between 1984 through 1989. His dream as a child was to become a Lawyer (Q.C). Unfortunately, financial difficulties, coupled with lack of scholarship opportunities and hardship to attain a student loan prevented him from attending the Norman Manley Law School. After graduation, he was fortunate to work at Hanna's Better Buy Department Store in Kingston as a stock clerk. The owner of the store, Mr. Robert Hanna, funded Horace's continued education and convinced him to change his course of study to Accounting, which he was grateful; one of the main reasons he is strong on giving back to the children of Jamaica. Horace Daley migrated to the United States of America in 1993 and immediately pursued a college education; majored in Accounting. He attended Bernard M. Baruch College in New York; graduated August 1999 with honors and as the Top Eight (8) Distinguished Student. He was the President of the National Association of Black Accountants - Baruch Chapter, 1998/1999. The National Association of Black Accountants, Inc. (NABA) is a professional organization that helps students transition from educational institutions to professional careers. His focus to give back to his fellow citizens, is exemplified in the motto of the National Association of Black Accountants: "Lifting as We Climb" The direction of Professional Jamaicans for Jamaica, Inc., with the vision of Horace A. Daley, is promising; paving the way, while working collaboratively with fellow citizens and friends of Jamaica, to rebuild the image of brand Jamaica and enhance the educational development of our children in Jamaica. His organization has yield many rewards. They promote a Backpack Project, an annual campaign that invites its members and friends to donate basic school supplies to low-income children who would otherwise return to school without them. There are other projects launched by his organization that did not go unnoticed, some of which was published in the national newspapers. The organization currently feeds students at the Trench Town Primary School with a Breakfast Program, and many children benefited from Christmas Treats in various low-income communities. Horace will be one of my very special guests tonight on PEP Talk Radio from 9pm to 10pm EST on www.harambeeradio.com. Tune in to hear the conversation. Horace Daley will be the Master of Ceremony for the Merl Grove PSA's Gala on June 29 in Gaithersburg, MD.
