Greetings,
meracqa
Me and Racquel Brown-Gaston had loads to smile about at CPN's Women's Empowerment Brunch on 3/25/12
As we get to the end of Women's History Month, it is my hope that throughout the month and through this newsletter, you have learned a lot about some of the wonderful women we have promoted.  It is truly a blessing to know and work with so many incredible women, so keeping their talents to myself is NOT an option.  This month is very special to me on both a personal and professional level so I found myself working tirelessly to bring awareness to all things WOMAN and to the things which are important to ME.  As I mentioned, taking a personal day to just be one with self is a fantastic thing, and when I took mine last Saturday, many of the things which were floating around in my head and causing me unrest came to a happy place.  PLEASE take a personal day soon ladies...if you do not do it in March, do it soon.

If you are in the DMV area or feel like traveling to Washington DC, do consider attending our very special annual event as we close out March with an amazing production entitled 'Wonderful Women YouNite.'  ALL the information regarding that event is right here in THIS Newsletter.  Please scroll down and check it out, even if you do not live in this geographical area, because the reality is that knowledge is power, and once you get to read a little bit about any of the women we are highlighting, you will be inclined to learn more.

Cheers to Women and since we are the folks who give birth, let us also focus our energies on children in April as we celebrate Child Abuse Prevention Month.

Peace,

tonight from 9pm to 10pm EST for PEP Talk Radio.
My very special guests will be AYANNA GREGORY, THERESE PRENTICE, and CHARDELLE MOORE; three of the ladies who will be on stage at Wonderful Women YouNite this coming Saturday, March 31.

ayanna AYANNA GREGORY

With the release of her debut CD, "Beautiful Flower," Ayanna Gregory has introduced herself to the world.  For this soul singer, songwriter, and agent of change, music is more than entertainment; it is her mission.  And with penetrating depth, Ayanna sings songs that make audiences feel and heal.  In a time so needy of real music, Ayanna promises to bring to the world a most beautiful and meaningful brand of Soul Music.

Ayanna is no stranger to the entertainment world.  While growing up as the daughter of celebrated Comedian and Human Rights Activist Dick Gregory, Ayanna was blessed with the opportunity to interact with such mega talents as Bob Marley, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and the Jackson Family.  But the glamour of the entertainment world isn't what resonated most with her.  Raised with a deep awareness and concern for Human Rights, Ayanna's musical roots are steeped in the struggle of the "Freedom Movement".  Ayanna knew early on that her gift of song would be her gift to the struggle. chardellenew From television hosting, motivational speaking, vibrant spoken word performances, community outreach, gracing runways, beauty queen, and a symbolization of determination, Chardelle Moore is a young ambitious woman who is focused on conquering her goals and impacting the world.

She emigrated from Dominica to the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area with her family where she currently resides. Her motto is "You can change your location, but you can never change your roots"; something she has held closely as a guide to her daily life.

It was her charm and energetic personality that landed her the role as host of Accent TV Top 5 Video Music Countdown Show. Each week fans tune in to see the vibrant host countdown the hottest Caribbean videos. An entertainment go getter, Chardelle has worked in front and behind the camera covering events like the Caribbean Comedy Festival, to working on production shoots for Black Entertainment Television (BET).  Chardelle is also a past winner of the Miss Caribbean Metro Beauty Pageant.
