Seeking Writers to Update IFEA's Event Publications
Many of you own them, most of you have read them, they are the IFEA's Events Publications. First published back in 1997, they were one of the first event publications produced that actually covered the important issues that needed to be addressed in the Festivals & Events Industry. With 9 publications in the series, written by members of the IFEA, they were and still are, one of the most valuable resources in the industry. Twelve years later, even though the basic information in these publications is still useful, the IFEA is seeking to update or re-write these publications to make them even more valuable to the industry. This is where you can help! If you are interested in updating a chapter, a whole publication, or even perhaps looking into writing new chapters/publications we currently don't have, we'd like to hear from you!! Publications that are currently in the IFEA Event Publication Series are: 101 Event Ideas (I wish I'd Thought of); Event Operations; Event Trends; Events Ideas for Children; Managing Volunteers; Marketing Your Event; Official Guide to Parades; Official Guide to Sponsorship; Producing a Small to Midsize Festival Please contact Nia Hovde, Director of Marketing at nia@ifea.com if you're interested in becoming a contributing writer to the IFEA's Event Publication Series. |
