STORYTIME SCHEDULE
Late Fall Storytime begins Monday, November 2nd and continues through Saturday, December 19th, 2009.
Book Babies Thursdays at 11 am Action songs, rhymes, fingerplays & board books for babies ages birth-2 yrs.

- November 12th-Good Morning (with bells)
- November 19th-Apples & Fall
- December 3rd-Head to Toes (with bells)
- December 10th-Baby Loves
- December 17th-Shake, Shake, Shake (with bells)
Preschool Fun Tuesdays at 11 am & Thursdays at 10 am Stories, song and crafts for children ages 3-5
- November 3rd & 5th - Apples
- November 10th & 12th - Cookies
- November 17th & 19th - Pumpkins
- November 24th - Turkeys
- December 1st & 3rd - Soup
- December 8th & 10th - Pizza
- December 15th & 17th - Gingerbread
SCHOOL AGE PROGRAMS
Weird Science Wednesdays Select Wednesdays at 4 pm, grades K-5 Weird, exciting and totally fun - come play with science!
- November 18th - Sun Power - Learn all about solar power, make a solar oven and cook a special treat.
- December 2nd - Cool Chemistry - It's back! Get ready for things to pop, zoom and grown while you learn about the properties of liquids, solids and gases!
FAMILY EVENTS
Monday Mayhem Every Monday in November, play games, get crafty and have fun with the family at 6:30 pm!
- November 2nd - Bowl-A-Rama Night! Experience bowling like you've never seen it before!
- November 9th - Be a Pet Detective! Meet a furry friend from the SPCA and find out all about what you do when you lose a pet or find one.
- November 16th - Puzzle Night! Join us for a puzzling good time with all sorts of puzzles!
- November 23rd - Let's Talk Turkey! Join us for games, fun and stories as we get ready for the holiday.
- November 30th - Rock Band! Live out your ultimate fantasy rocking out with Rock Band on the Wii!
Saturday Celebrations November 14th & December 19th-Bilingual Storytimes presented by the NC Museum of Natural Sciences at 11:00 am. It's free,come see the live animals.
TEEN EVENTS
Face the Future for grades 6 and up Select Wednesdays at 4 pm
- November 4th - Career Focus - Wake Tech currently offers 157 programs of study - which one is right for you? Learn how to apply, what courses to take and more.
- December 9th - Do the Write Thing! Grammar got you stumped? Got to write those essays and term papers but not sure how to edit? Marian Anders, author of My Dog Bites the English Teacher makes it fun and easy!

Book Discussion Groups
- Slice of Life Book Club--meets First Thursday of each month (November 5th & December 3rd) at 6:00 pm to discuss a wide variety of fiction by African American authors. Contact Ruby Jones-Elleby (919.856.6598) for current title being read.
- Conversations Book Club--meets Third Monday of each month (November 16th & December 21st) at 1:00 pm to discuss current non-fiction titles. Contact Avis Jones (919.856-6598) for current title being read. Bring your "bag lunch" and join us.
