Fred Wolf - World Alzheimer's MonthRaise awareness during World Alzheimer's Month

During World Alzheimer's Month, the Alzheimer's Association is working to raise awareness of Alzheimer's to honor the 35 million people worldwide living with the disease.

Throughout the month, we're recognizing the everyday heroes who refuse to back down when faced with Alzheimer's. Some heroes, like Fred Wolfe, go above and beyond to raise awareness for the cause. Every year, Fred completes a 118-mile hike from Denver to Vail, Colo. to honor his father who passed away from Alzheimer's in 2007. Read Fred's story.

You can be a hero during World Alzheimer's Month! Help us to raise awareness of this global epidemic by participating in these activities:

Walk to End Alzheimer'sIt's not too late!
JOIN US at Walk to End Alzheimer's™

Walk to End Alzheimer's is in full swing! Join us by forming a team and raising funds and awareness around Alzheimer's, now the sixth leading cause of death. Once you get started, you'll be amazed to find out how many people there are with a connection to the disease who will want to help. You can personalize your Walk web page and use e-mails that are already written for you to ask for support. It's easy!

Our Chapter-wide goal is to raise over $1,275,000, and we need you to help move our cause forward. Together, we can raise awareness and funds to enhance Alzheimer care and support and advance critical research.

Together, we can end Alzheimer's.
