Goshen College won't play anthem

On June 4, the Goshen (Ind.) College board of directors reversed its 2010 decision to play an instrumental version of the national anthem before athletic events.
According to a June 6 news release, the board asked president Jim Brenneman to "find an alternative ... that fits with sports tradition, that honors country and that resonates with Goshen College's core values and respects the views of diverse constituencies" ...
