Healthcare professionals form new organization

Mennonite Medical Association and the Mennonite Nurses Association will cease to exist as separate organizations and form the Mennonite Healthcare Fellowship.

At the Mennonite Health Assembly in San Antonio on March 11, Jone Friesen (left), from Tulsa, Okla., and Phyllis Mishler (right), from North Newton, Kan., announced that the merger will take place at a June 23-36 gathering for members from both organizations. The gathering will be at the Laurelville Retreat Center in Mount Pleasant, Pa. Friesen said the organization is for individuals with Anabaptist values working in health care; its purpose will be to help heathcare providers integrate faith and practice.

Goshen radio station named best in the country

Goshen (Ind.) College's radio station WGCS 91.1 FM-The Globe  isn't a huge operation, but the sounds coming out of it are making a big impact.
Competing against every college and university in the country of all sizes, the student-operated station was named this year's Best College Station in the Nation on March 12 at the 71st Annual Conference of the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System in New York City ...
