The perfect time to keep on clickin'!
Greetings! In addition to all the information about what's going on at AfA, our biggest news is about a new incentive from GivingFirst.org, a program of Community First Foundation. During the month of October the first 24 organizations to reach $5,000 in donations will be given a 50% match of $2,500! If you've been waiting to give, please do so today; if you need a charitable deduction to reduce your tax liability, please make it today; if you simply love us and can't wait to help our work with youth... yup, today's the day! Please help us earn an additional $2,500 toward empowering struggling youth in Colorado by allowing them a safe space in which to tell their stories, and by encouraging them to create new ones using the power of their beliefs and their words. Please click here to GiveFirst!

A 3-Minute Poem by Andrew, 15
I am that little boy. I am that little annoying boy. I am a little annoying boy. It's what I choose to let you see. But really, I am smart and bright. I try not to let people see the hurt, but I am that scared little boy who is all alone. I try and try and try to hide that fact; But I am that scared little boy who is all alone. But you see, I am a little boy I am that annoying boy. I am that little annoying boy. I am scared and alone. I still await that person in the cape and armor to come. After all, I am a scared little boy.

Winning Donor!
In our last newsletter, I announced my 50th birthday and that we'd be giving a present to one of our donors who gave $50 or more during the "Season of Leo" (July 23 through Aug. 22). We've had the drawing, and the winner of a $200 bottle of wine and a professional massage is Marc Wise! Congratulations, Marc, and thank you so much for giving. Sometimes it comes RIGHT back RIGHT away!!
