Workshop Season is HERE!

KIPR just launched the 2008 Botball Season!  The first workshop of the year was held on January 5-6, 2008 at the University of Oklahoma in Norman.  The students, teachers, and mentors that attended were the first Botballers to use the new iRobot Creates and the new building materials from Innovation First, Inc.  Don't worry!  Your team will still get plenty of LEGO to build with!

If you are curious to see how the new elements have been incorporated into the Botball Workshop, check out Botguy's Flickr Page!

UPCOMING WORKSHOPS:

  • Arkansas - Jan. 11-12
  • Texas - Jan. 12-13
  • Pennsylvania - Jan. 19-20
  • New England - Jan. 25-26
  • Southern California - Jan. 25-26

See you there!
Greetings!

The 2008 Botball Season is finally here!  We already have over 225 Botball teams registered to compete in this season's events.  If you haven't registered your team yet, there is still time.  But don't wait too long or you will miss out on all the fun!
2008 Botball Home Base has Been Activated
If your team is like most, they have been anxiously awaiting the activation of the 2008 Home Base.  Now the wait is over!

PVC Cuts and Table Assembly

Teams can log in to the 2008 Home Base and download the PVC cuts for the 2008 Botball Game.  For the first time ever - teams can also view the 2008 Botball Game TABLE ASSEMBLY!

R&D Web Site Challenge

If your team is planning to compete in the X PRIZE Lunar Rover Botball Design Challenge, don't forget about the initial deadline!  On or before January 25th at 3 PM CST, your team must visit the 2008 Research and Design Web Site Challenge area on the Home Base and click the 'YES!' button under the 'Will your team be participating in the 2008 Research and Design Web Site Challenge?' link.

Every team that is planning to participate also needs to upload (through the file upload tool) an outline of your planned web site by Jan. 25th.  Each team's outline must include at least the team name and number.

Sell HEXBUG Micro Robots!
Robotevents.com is offering robotics teams a unique opportunity to sell micro robots and make up to a 50-55% profit!

Most of the robotics teams that robotevents.com has surveyed, sold between 3-10 cases and made over $1000 in profit for their team in one week!

Here's how:
  1. Go to robotevents.com and order a case of 30 HEXBOTS.
  2. Sell each HEXXBOT for $10 so each case sells for $300.
  3. Your team will make $150-$165 PER CASE (depends on the quantity of cases purchased).

Visit robotevents.com (click on the 'Fundraising' tab) and download an order form today!
