I am happy to announce that the National Leadership Roundtable on Church Management will present two Leadership Roundtable Best Practices Award at our 2012 Annual Meeting next month. The Leadership Roundtable is proud to honor Catholic Charities USA and the Women & Spirit exhibit. If you haven't already, click here to register today.
Catholic Charities USA is the national office for Catholic Charities agencies and affiliates nationwide. As a professional association and social justice movement, Catholic Charities USA supports local Catholic Charities as they provide help and create hope for over 10 million people each year regardless of religious, social, or economic backgrounds.
Women & Spirit: Catholic Sisters in America is a traveling exhibition depicting the innovative, action-oriented women who have helped shape our nation's social and cultural landscape. Since first arriving in America nearly 300 years ago, sisters built schools, colleges, hospitals, orphanages, homeless shelters, and many other enduring social institutions. As nurses, teachers, and social workers, sisters entered professional ranks decades earlier than most other women and established landmark institutions that continue to serve millions of Americans from all walks of life. The untold story of these unsung heroes is now recounted, documenting a vital and significant perspective of American history.
If you have already registered to join us next month, thank you. If not, I hope you will register today by clicking here. Each year, the Leadership Roundtable identifies individuals, organizations, and institutions who are committed to implementing best practices that strengthen their ministries and missions and we honor them with our highest award. I am deeply honored to present Catholic Charities USA, and it's president, Fr. Larry Snyder, and Women & Spirit, with the Leadership Roundtable Best Practices Award this year.
