Magical Mystery Tour Bus RESULTS!
Our Magical Mystery Bus Tour took us places we never expected! Our YouthAbility fun/fundraiser on Sunday, October 23rd exceeded all expectations-more than 200 people attended and we raised a whopping $30,000 for the program. It was an evening of music, dancing and winning prizes! Thank you so much to everyone who supported the event by attending, donating and/or contributing an auction item. We are overwhelmed by the generosity of the community. A HUGE thanks to the drivers of the tour bus, event co-chairs Linda & Howard Chapman and Janice & Gary Bilchik. Our co-chairs were assisted by an incredible committee-Jane Jasper, Dee Behrens, Lynn Audino, Billie Erickson, Chris Fondas, Katie Niece, Sally Kandel and Loren and Fern Kendis.

YouthAbility in the Community!
The hard work of the YouthAbility participants can be seen throughout the community.
Chagrin River Loop Trail
The trail we have been working on for the past few months is now on the Cleveland Metroparks map of the South Chagrin Reservation. Hikers can access the Chagrin Loop Trail off of the north side of Chagrin Blvd, just east of Chagrin River Road. We have cleared the trail, moved fallen logs, built steps and removed invasive species in the area. We will continue to maintain the trail so hikers can easily enjoy the area.
Cleveland Free Clinic Art Mural

Our mural "A Journey from Hopelessness to Hopefulness" is now hanging in the community room at the Cleveland Free Clinic. The 4-panel mural depicts the upward climb from the depths of hopelessness to the heights of hopefulness. The community room is often used by groups in recovery. We hope the artwork will help inspire them to take their own journey to hopefulness. |

YouthAbility Mini-Foundation Grants
Our participants met in October to decide how to donate their food delivery tips and their earnings from volunteering at running races. After listening to speakers and reviewing literature-they decided to make the following contributions:
Autism Speaks - $175 Gathering Place - $105 Save the Children - $100 (to stock a library for students in an under-developed country) Save the Children - $60 (to support Early Childhood education for youngsters in an underdeveloped country) The Cleveland Free Clinic - $35 (toward the purchase of bus tickets for the clients) The Cleveland Foodbank - $35 (to support 140 meals for people in need) Jewish Federation Lunch Program - $35 (to support 14 lunches for kids during school vacation times) Fieldstone Farm - $35 (general support) Rescue Village - $35 (to sponsor a cage for 2 months) MedWish - $35 (each $1 donation allow $26 dollars worth of medical supplies to go to people in need worldwide) |
