Greetings and Namaste!
When I was twelve I had an experience while
lying on a rooftop in a meditative state when
a voice told me I would die by my 25th
birthday. It sounded like a very long time
away so it didn't trouble me. In my 24th
year I became very ill and ended up in Lenox
Hill hospital in NYC. They thought I had
lympho-sarcoma and would die in 3 months -
just before my 25th birthday. The words and
that voice came crashing back to me. I had
felt the Divine Presence in my life many
times and had recently met an extraordinary
meditation master, Swami Muktananda. I
prayed to the Divine and to this living saint
for blessings to live through this challenge
that demanded total surrender and to be able
to live a life of service if indeed there was
a life to live. I was visited by a radiant
form of the Divine, the Great Goddess - grace
descended, I survived and I've been blessed
daily with more opportunities to serve than I
can fulfill.
The power of grace is present in all times
and all places and can be felt in simple and
profound ways. How does it operate in your
life, in you, through you, around you? What
do you serve?

Grace
Nothing pertaining to godliness or real
holiness can be accomplished without
grace.
St. Augustine
In efficacious grace, we are not merely
passive, nor yet does God do some and we do
the rest. But God does all, and we do all.
God produces all, we act all; for that is
what produces through our own acts. God is
the proper author and fountain of all; we
only are the actors. We are in different
respects, wholly active and wholly
passive.
Jonathan Edwards
Where the will of God leads you, the grace of
God keeps you.

All that I have realized I have realized
through devotion to my masters. Increasingly,
as I go on teaching, I become aware, humbly
and with real awe, of how their blessings are
beginning to work through me. I am nothing
without their blessing, and if there is
anything I feel I can do, it is acting as a
bridge between you and them. Again and again,
I notice that when I speak of my masters in
my teaching, my devotion to them inspires a
vision of devotion in those listening; and in
those marvelous moments I feel my masters are
present, blessing and opening the hearts of
my students to the truth.
Sogyal Rinpoche The Tibetan Book of
Living and Dying
Kundalini is the yogic term for the power of
transformation and revelation - the power of
Grace, without which we would never see past
the confines of the ordinary mind to know our
unbroken union with the Infinite. Knowing
That and serving That, we become capable of
acting with unshakable compassion, boundless
love, unspeakable joy, penetrating wisdom
and patience born of the eternal. You are
innately capable of all this. Choose That
moment by moment if you want true
freedom.
