Greetings!

Summer vacation!  Driving through the countryside, seeing the sights, eating junk food, listening to music.  It's a good time for safety belt promotion, because a safety belt is the single best protection against death or injury in a crash.

In case friends need encouragement to listen to safety belt wisdom, remind them that every state has different laws governing safety belt use.  The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has this handy summary.   Be safe, be legal.

T-Shirt Decals

Do you have a safety event coming up where you need an activity for kids?

Click It has recently purchased new Color-On T-shirt decals.  Kids color the designs, and then the whole thing is applied to a T-shirt with heat.  The yellow in these pictures shows the  areas that can be colored.

Call us about the decals if you'd like to set up a fun activity for one of your events.   We have 4 different designs, and a clothes iron allows you to apply the decal to the shirt right at your event if you choose to have crayons and shirts available.  Kids can color the decal, and applying the design to the shirt means you have a safety belt message walking around with that child whencolor on buckle up every timeever they wear it. color on be safe buckle up

Embrace Life

I received this again from a Coalition member.  If you haven't seen the public service announcement created in England last year called Embrace Life, click here.

What a great message, and a great way of sharing it.

The "Click It Chronicle," our Click It Campaign e-letter, published whenever there is news, is available to all those interested in increasing safety belt usage.  Please share this information freely. Take the information, copy to friends, businesses and organizations with the same concerns.  Using the information provided will help reduce the needless fatalities and injuries on our highways and the associated costs. To subscribe to this e-letter, join the coalition, or be removed from the list, contact the Click It Team at cidri@safenebraska.org.
