Teens are the least likely group to be wearing belts, but the most likely group to experience a crash.

Safety Belts reduce fatalities and injuries by 45 to 50% in crashes.  Join us in encouraging Nebraska teens to buckle up, every trip, every time.

Can your school use an extra $1000?

Greetings!

Spring means that it's time to get serious about the Come Home Safe seatbelt campaign! Teach your high school students about the importance of buckling up, and enter your school in a drawing for $1000!  Check our website for details on the contest.

Results are due April 15!  You need to do 2 seatbelt checks at least 30 days apart between Sept 1, 2010 and April 15, 2011.

Haven't done that first check?  Better get out in the parking lot and take a look.

Enter your school in a drawing for $1000!  And better yet, remind your students that safety belts are irreplacable in a crash. They can save a life, but only if they're worn.

Having just gotten off the phone with a company who would like a safety belt presentation because they're concerned that 100% of their employees are not buckling, I'm confident that you are teaching an important life long habit when you teach your students that seat belts save lives.  Each student's life is important!

They've heard it before.  They are our future.  But not if they get into an unbuckled crash and experience a life-changing or life-ending injury .

Thank you for your participation in the Come Home Safe project.  We appreciate your partnership in making sure all of Nebraska's teens come home safe!
