Of course we want all of Nebraska's teens to come home safe, and wearing a safety belt is one important factor in making sure they do. But do teens actually wear their belts? Statistics tell us that teens are the age group least likely to buckle up, but most likely to be involved in a crash. So, let's try it again, and to sweeten the pot for contest facilitators, your school can win $1000!!! Do these things: - Let us know you want to participate
- Conduct 2 unannounced safety belt checks 30 days apart between 9/1/2010 and 4/15/2011
- Do some education about the need for belts, or invite us to do it.
- Send us your results
- Be entered in a drawing for 1 $1000 prize or 2 $500 prizes
- Feel good that your students buckle up, and maybe save a young life!

There are a variety of contests out there for safety videos. The Bridgestone website offers another. The Bridgestone contest will be accepting entries  from March 23-May 13 , and the winner receives a $5,000 college scholarship, plus a new set of tires! Full information is on their website.
