Dear (Contact First Name),
Thanksgiving is definSave the belt unbucklingitely the time for a great  meal, with some traditional recipes and maybe some new favorites.  It is the holiday for giving thanks for all that we have, and food is a basic foundation.

It is also a great time to give thanks for life itself.  If the Pilgrims had had cars, there is no doubt that protecting lives with safety belts would be part of our current traditions.

However you celebrate Thanksgiving, and wherever you go, stay safe and well, and don't forget to buckle up.

Thanks to the National Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) for this cartoon.

November 15-28 are the dates of another National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHSTA) Click It or Ticket campaign.

Perfect timing, since lots of Nebraskans are hitting the highway in cars, going to Grandma's to celebrate Thanksgiving.  Please encourage your friends, family, colleagues and acquaintances to buckle up--this time and always, whenever they're in the car.

Check out the NHTSA website for the 2010 Thanksgiving Media Planner.

The poster to the left says, "45 million turkeys will die for

Don't be one of them."

For a more gracious, family-oriented message, try this poster, which says, "On this Thanksgiving Day, your family will thank you for how much you protect them."
