Belt It Out!

Greetings!

As we get together with family and friends for this Thanksgiving holiday, let's take a minute to think about how safety belts may have impacted our gatherings.  In every group listening to a Click It presentation, it's rare to find someone who doesn't know anyone who has experienced a crash.  In any gathering of people, the group may include someone who is there because of a safety belt or there may be a absence caused by lack of a belt.

Thanks to all of you who promote safety belts in any way.  Happy Thanksgiving, and Drive Safely!

Under Your Influence
Under Your InfluenceThe NHTSA newsletter called Under Your Influence is directed at parents of teens.  But it's not always teens who need to be reminded to wear their belts.  Think about how the message also relates to others--not only your family, but your coworkers, your employees, your neighbors, plus any teens you interact with.

Who do you influence? NHTSA also offers a toolkit of sample posters, flyers, letters, and much more for your safety belt promotions.

The "Click It Chronicle," our Click It Campaign e-letter, published whenever there is news, is available to all those interested in increasing safety belt usage.  Please share this information freely. Take the information, copy to friends, businesses and organizations with the same concerns.  Using the information provided will help reduce the needless fatalities and injuries on our highways and the associated costs. To subscribe to this e-letter, join the coalition, or be removed from the list, contact the Click It Team at cidri@safenebraska.org.
