Greetings!
Click It's own Danielle Knudson celebrated Mother's Day with Knudson offspring #4, Patrick John, born Thursday, April 23.  You can be sure that all of the Knudsons, including little Patrick, rode home safely buckled up.

While it's important for anyone to use their safety restraint  every time they ride in a car, it's even  more important to make sure that babies and children are safely buckled into the appropriate seat for their size.

Welcome Patrick!

Click It was featured on the front page of the Gretna Guide with the egg crash display! Gretna front page
The town of Gretna hosted a health fair on Friday, May 1, featuring many safety activities.  Featured prominately among the activities was the Click It egg crash display, which graphically shows kids what happens to an egg when it is not belted during a crash.

The egg crash display had recently been at a Boy Scout pack meeting in Gretna, and many boys came by to say that the crash had been their favorite thing--even better than the fire truck!

Don't forget the egg crash display for your youth events or school presentations! It's a graphic display of crash results that is fun for kids and adults alike.

Check out the Gretna Guide!

Thank You to Nebraska Welding!

The egg crash display was made of wood, but after enough gooey crashes, it became apparent that wood might not be the most sanitary of solutions.  We especially noticed that the gap between the road and the crash barrier at the bottom was accumulating a lot of egg fallout.  Enter Nebraska Welding!

egg crash ScoutsNebraska Welding was able to duplicate the wood ramp in metal, and actually made 2 of the ramps so we can loan one to you to use at your next kid-oriented event!  Our current display is made of aluminum and features easy clean-ups.  The principle is the same--toy cars roll down the ramp and the ensuing crashes simulate real car crashes, with eggs playing the part of the unsuspecting driver or passenger.  Roadway cleanup is made much easier by the aluminum construction of the ramp.

Contact us at cidri@safenebraska.org to borrow an egg crash display or arrange for CIDRI to visit your next health fair!
