Greetings!
Last month's state highway fatality statistics underline the importance of wearing safety belts while driving or riding in a car. There were 16 fatalities. Two were pedestrians, and of the remaining 14, 13 were not wearing safety belts. Any fatality is a tragedy, and it's even more tragic when the simple use of a safety belt may have made a difference. Thanks for all you do to promote the use of safety belts, every trip, every time. learn more about Nebraska highway fatalites

The City of Lincoln Health Department Receives Honor Roll Recognition |
|
|
The April proclamation ceremony at the state capitol had record attendance! The room was literally filled to the rafters. It was great to have a large audience to recognize the achievement of the Lincoln City Health Department.
Congratulations to Bob Nemecek, Beth Mann and the entire city of Lincoln Health Department on their Gold
Standard Nebraska Safety Belt Honor Roll achievement. Bob and Beth
observed staff arriving to work in the staff parking lot with one person at
each entrance. They tallied those wearing safety belts and those that
were not and achieved a 93% compliance rate on their two checks.
Way to go Lincoln Health
Department!
