Greetings!

Now is the time to promote a New Year's Resolution for any non-bucklers you know!

Do you have access to:
  • a marquee or bulletin board
  • a newsletter or newspaper
  • packing boxes or bags
  • checked out books
  • airtime on radio or TV or morning announcements at school?
  • your signature line at the bottom of your emails
  • anywhere you can place a buckle up message?

A quick reminder can save a life!

Elementary School Honor Roll Action!

Click It's next project is promoting the Honor Roll for Elementary Schools in Nebraska.  Work with the ementary school in your town!  Elementary School is a great time to reinforce the safety belt habit.  Kids are accustomed to child safety seats and then booster seats, so let's capitalize on that familiarity and help them know that getting bigger just means moving to a different Safety Restraint device.
Sunset Hills kids
These kids at Sunset Hills Elementary in Omaha were enthusiastic
participants in the Sunset Hills Honor Roll Process.  They wore their stickers with pride and reminded Moms and Dads that one important reason to wear safety belts is to stay alive to take care of their kids!

Click It is asking elementary schools to get involved and earn an Honor Roll designation for their school!
Don't Forget to Act Out Loud by Feb. 17!

act out loudDon't forget to get your teen traffic safety team together and enter your proposal for a traffic safety project.  Any teen group with a project can win $10,000 and a video camera!

Allstate and the National Organization for Youth Safety is interested in your peer-led safe driving project!

The deadline for the proposal entry is February 17, and it's your chance to win!  Let's get Nebraska on the NOYS map again.  It CAN happen--just ask Mark Claussen from Norfolk whose Junior Optimist group won $1000 several years ago!
