Act Out Loud--Submissions due by March 26!
act out loudThis May, as part of National Youth Traffic Safety Month, National Organizations for Youth Safety has teamed up with The Allstate Foundation's Keep The Drive program to bring you Act Out Loud, a national teen- and school- led activism competition to help spread the word about safe teen driving.  Visit Act Out Loud.org to submit your safe driving project idea for the chance to win up to $10,000.  The winning team will also be able to direct an additional $5,000 to the non-profit national youth organization of their choice.  But hurry--the deadline for submissions is midnight on March 26!  Visit ActOutLoud.org for more details.

Health at Concordia University in Seward!  Click It attended the Health Fair at Concordia last week.  Students were very interested in the various seat belt statistics, and in the new air fresheners.  Be sure to invite Click It to your next health fair!

The new Click It Don't Risk It website will featurCIDRIsomeone you lovee photos of soCIDRIsomeone you loveme of the many Nebraskans out walking around our state because they were wearing their belt at the right time.  Unfortunately, many Nebraskans have found out first-hand how effective safety belts can be in a crash, and many have been saved from death or injury simply by the click of a belt.  Send your picture or the picture of someone you know for inclusion in our new web feature.  Send us your Saved by the Belt story too!
The "Click It Chronicle," our Click It Campaign e-letter, published whenever there is news, is available to all those interested in increasing safety belt usage.  Please share this information freely. Take the information, copy to friends, businesses and organizations with the same concerns.  Using the information provided will help reduce the needless fatalities and injuries on our highways and the associated costs.
