14th Annual North Halsted Halloween Parade & Festivities
Sunday, October 31, 4:30pm - 9:00pm
Various Times and Locations - Click HERE for Details
The costume parade has become the city's most renowned Halloween event drawing thousands of spectators. It's a creative, fun and entertaining event for the entire community that raises funds for our community garden park. And a Sunday parade means a huge crowd so we've extended the parade route north to Addison. We're excited to announce Miss Foozie has agreed to emcee the parade. As in past years, we expect to see costumes from garish to ghoulish-worn by adults, kids and pets. The costume contest has been a huge success and we anticipate imaginations to run wild again this year! The theme of the 2010 Parade is "Little Street of Horrors".

Sixth Annual "Ghouly" Park Halloween Event
Sunday, October 31, 4:00pm - 7:30pm
Goudy Park at Astor and Goethe
GCN is pleased to invite children, parents and grandparents to join us at Goudy Park, at Astor and Goethe, for the sixth annual "Ghouly" Park Halloween event on October 31, from 4:00 - 7:30 pm.
Popular attractions include huge, inflatable, mobile characters; noisy skeletons, ghosts and witches swinging from trees; a ghouly graveyard; and bones buried in the park's sandbox.
Again this year Puppetbike, a colorful entertainer on stilts, and a roaming magician will entertain the kids and grownups alike. Adults in Halloween costume will pass out candy and toys galore.
Sponsored by Gold Coast Neighbors, the Chicago Park District and Mayor Daley's Kidstart, the event will be made possible by generous donations of cash, candy, materials or talent from area businesses and residents.

Safe Trick-or-Treating
Sunday, October 31st, 5pm - 7pm
Kenmore from Irving Park to Montrose, including the 1000 block of West Buena
Mark your calendar for BPN's 13th Annual Buena Pumpkin Neighbors Safe Trick-or-Treating event. Bring your little ghosts and ghoulies out on Halloween night for trick-or-treating along Kenmore from Irving Park to Montrose, including the 1000 block of West Buena.
If you reside on this stretch of Kenmore or Buena and you and/or your neighbors plan to hand out candy, please contact Mary Krueger at mary.krueger@standardbanks.com so that we can mark your building. We had over 300 children last year and we hope to attract even more children this year. During the event we will also bestow the fourth annual George Ferak Halloween Decorations Award to the most bootifully decorated residence. Get your neighbors together and get creative!
We also need volunteers to act as safety monitors during the event. If you are interested in participating, please contact Kathleen Hogan at kathleenhogan@yahoo.com.
Buena Park is known in Uptown as "THE" place for Halloween. We hope you'll join us for this wonderful event!
