Dear Neighbor,

This week the Illinois General Assembly is debating how to reform politics in our state - centering on campaign finance reform.  Clearly, campaign finance in Illinois is at the core of our state's ethics problems.

Last week my colleague, Rep. Julie Hamos, launched a petition calling on our legislative leaders to adopt $2,400 caps on individual contributions. I am in favor of these caps, but others in the General Assembly would prefer fewer restrictions on campaign spending.  If you support this restriction level, please visit to sign the petition and make your voice heard.

As I have mentioned before, I believe that now is the time for reform in Illinois and this will be a critical week to that end.

Thank you for taking the time to read my e-letter and for your interest in our work in Springfield.

Very Truly Yours,

Sara Feigenholtz
State Representative
