To continue to provide our fans with world-class tennis right in their backyard, the OC Breakers underwent several changes during the off-season.
The Southern California team embraced our Orange County roots by officially changing our name from the Newport Beach Breakers to the more encompassing Orange County Breakers. In addition, all seven OC Breakers home matches will be played at the Bren Events Center on the University of California-Irvine campus this season.
With a 2,500 seating capacity and convenient location in the heart of Orange County, the state-of-art indoor facility is an ideal venue to host the fun-filled OC Breakers matches. For directions to the Bren Events Center click here.

History in the Making
2012 marks a special year in Breakers tennis as we celebrate the team's 10th anniversary. While we look ahead to what promises to be great season, we also look back on the Breakers history of quality tennis in Orange County.
International Tennis Hall of Famer and the co-founder of World TeamTennis, Billie Jean King was born and raised in Long Beach, Calif. Holding a special place in her heart, a Southern California-based team was a goal Billie Jean set since the earliest days of World TeamTennis.
After a run with the Newport Beach Dukes in the 1990s, WTT returned to Orange County in 2003. Over the past 10 years, tennis champions such as Maria Sharapova, Pete Sampras and Lindsay Davenport have represented the Breakers and in 2004, the Southern California team lifted the King Trophy as WTT champions!
