microbridge-alpha-sensormate-amsysOur September newsletter focuses on low pressure sensors.

First, our newest product line comes from Microbridge (top left image), a microflow low differential air pressure sensor.  For those interested in a complete sensor transmitter package, the Alpha Instruments line (top right image) offers fully amplified and packaged pressure transmitters for low pressure measurement in multiple configurations.  Third, we are announcing a new Sensormate model (bottom left image) which comes in either a 0-0.15 psi to 0-2 psi or a very low pressure version 0-0.5" H2O up to 0-4" H2O.  Finally, we have just released an AMSYS pressure sensor (bottom right image), MS5812, which is a 1% full-scale accuracy amplified pressure sensor with both an analog or I2C output.  This sensor also comes in bi-directional calibration.

Applications for our low pressure sensor offering include, but are not limited to, HVAC, breath detection such as sleep apnea and respirators, cleanrooms, fume hoods, flow meters, air flow measurement and much more.

MicroBridge Low Microflow Pressure

microbridge sensorOur new Microbridge MB-LPSI-01 measures differential pressure from nanoliters per second gas flow through an integrated airflow channel having high flow impedance.  The transducer is a MEMS-based thermoanemometer on a monolithic silicon chip.  Compensation and conditioning electronics are included to create a linear output.  Pressure ranges start at 0-0.1" H2O up to 0-2" H2O.  Bi-directional versions in all ranges are available.

These sensors are designed for higher volume and applications where the sensor will be part of a transducer.  This sensor measures air velocity by creating a differential pressure.

Estimated pricing for 250 pieces ranges between $36-$48 each depending on pressure range.

Alpha Instruments Fully Packaged Low Pressure Transducers

AI168 with NEMA4Alpha Instruments provides pressure sensors for HVAC, VAV, cleanrooms, isolation rooms, airflow measurement, fume hoods, biological safety cabinets and operating rooms.  All sensors come in either uni or bi-directional pressure calibrations.  Here is a list of available models:
  • AI163: Small pressure sensor suitable for VAV applications, 0.1" WC to 20" WC with a voltage output
  • AI164: NEMA1 enclosure, 0.1" WC to 20" WC with voltage or current output
  • AI165: same as AI164 but with different port locations
  • AI166: flame retardant plastic enclosure with metal backing, 0.1" WC to 100" WC, voltage or current output
  • AI167: Din rail mount, 0.1" WC to 100" WC, LED pressure status indicator
  • AI168: NEMA4 enclosure, 0.1" WC to 100" WC, for power plants and textile machinery
The 50 piece price varies between $52-$163 each depending on model and accuracy required.

New Sensormate STX13A Series for Low Pressure Applications

STX13ASensormate's STX13A Series comes in 2 versions.  The STX13A-LP measures pressure ranges between 0-0.15 psi up to 0-2.0 psi with a 2.2% full-scale accuracy.  The STX13A-VLP (very low pressure) offers even lower pressure ranges, from 0-0.5" H2O up to 4"H2O with a 4.5% full-scale accuracy.  Both STX13A versions come with a calibrated and amplified analog output and have a PC board mount design.

A low supply voltage version operates from 2.7 to 3.3V while the standard version operates from 4.5 to 5.5V.  Both come with a 6 pin dual-in-line package.

Estimated pricing for 250 pieces of the LP is $13 each and for the VLP $17.50 each.  This pricing and excellent accuracy of the STX13A Series is significantly better than the major competitors.  Save thousands of dollars while gaining accuracy!

Amsys AMS5812 Pressure Sensor With Voltage and I2C Output

amsys5812 pressure sensorThe AMS5812 by Amsys is an excellent replacement for some SMI pressure sensors that have been discontinued.  Calibrated and compensated across a wide temperature range of -25C to 85C, the AMS5812 comes in a  dual-in-line package and is fully operational without the need for additional components.  These differential pressure sensors come in pressure ranges from 0-0.15 psi up to 0-100 psi, an absolute pressure variant for 0-15 psi and bi-directional differential pressure ranges from +/-0.15 psi up to +/-15 psi.

Pricing for 250 pieces is $22.50 each.
