| HERE'S WHAT'S HAPPENING AT AGC HOUSTON | | |
BUILDING CLOSURE NOTICE:
AGC Houston building will be CLOSED Monday, July 2nd - Tuesday, July 3rd for PARKING LOT repairs. The building will also be closed on July 4th in observance of Independence Day. Regular business hours will resume on Thursday, July 5th. This closure includes all offices within the AGC building including: the City of Houston Permit office (Dacoma location), AGC Plan Room/Triangle Reprographics, and NAMC.
For assistance July 2-3, please call 713-843-3700 or email us at allstaff@agchouston.org. AGC Staff will be working remotely those days and will be available to assist via phone/email.

WEBINAR: Lean Construction From a Specialty Contractors' Perspective - July 17, 2012 from 1:00 - 2:30 PM - Register Today! Lean is a philosophy and tool set that is as important to trade partners as it is for general contractors. This webinar looks at the Lean journey for TDIndustries over the past 17 years. Reflecting on how TD's vision for Lean has changed, the presentation will explore Lean as it is applied in a pre-fab shop and at the project site. This includes the 5 areas of focus: 5S, Pull Planning, Constraint Analysis, 6 Week Planning, and Essential Conversations. AGC MULTIPLE EMPLOYER 401(K) PLAN - Participant Education Series - Explore the Basics of your 401(k) Plan - July 14, 2012
Is your company participating in the AGC Houston 401(k) MEP plan? If so, we invite you to join us as we cover to the basic benefits and features of the AGC 401(k) retirement plan. You will gain a better understanding of how your plan works, and have the opportunity to create a retirement action plan. The Financial Advisors for our plan from R.W. Students in ABET or ACCE-accredited civil engineering or construction management programs are eligible for $2,500 scholarships, renewable for up to three years. Students must be entering their sophomore, junior or senior year (or the final year of a five-year program) in the fall of 2013 in order to apply. Graduate students are eligible for $3,750 annually for up to two years.
