Indemnity Provision Limitations and the New Statutory Lien Releases:  Are Your Contracts Complying with New State Laws? - February 15, 2012

Texas law has changed and as a result, your releases and contracts must change too.  This presentation will cover the legislative changes enacted by Texas' 2011 Legislature.  In addition to other topics, the presentation will address the new limitations on the protection contractors can obtain through indemnity provisions, the new statutory lien releases that must be utilized on every private project, the new requirements for disaster remediation contracts, and many other topics.  The new changes are significant, and in many instances mandatory.  Obtain the knowledge you need to make sure your releases and contracts comply with Texas' new laws. FIRST AID / CPR / AED TRAINING - February 15, 2012

EXAM: CERTIFICATE OF MANAGEMENT - BUILDING INFORMATION MODELING (BIM) - March 2, 2012

For AEC professionals, the AGC Certificate of Management-Building Information Modeling (CM-BIM) is an assessment-based certificate credential that denotes knowledge and understanding of concepts related to BIM adoption, practice and process transformation outlined in the AGC BIM Education Program. The Sam Houston State University, Agricultural & Industrial Sciences Department, Industrial Technology Program will have a career fair Thursday February 16, 2012. This career fair is intended to introduce the students to potential occupational offerings and to introduce prospective employers to students of this program.
