OSHA 502 UPDATE FOR THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY OUTREACH TRAINERS - September 15, 2011
This course is the update required every four years for all OSHA Authorized Outreach Trainers for the Construction Industry. It provides timely information on OSHA Construction Industry standards, policies and regulations. Students must provide their current Outreach Trainer card to confirm enrollment in this class.
 
BASICS OF COMMERCIAL HVAC TRAINING - October 20, 2011
This half day program created especially for Construction Professionals will provide you with a broad understanding of the Basics of Commercial HVAC Systems. You will finally understand what your mechanical contractor is talking about!

AGC Houston Annual Directory Update and Membership Survey
The annual directory update and membership survey has been mailed to the main contact at each member company. The information that will be printed in our annual membership directory, including CSI codes, should be verified by each company. Additionally, we ask that you take a moment to complete the membership survey so we may continue to understand and meet the needs of our members. An online version of the survey is also available HERE.

NLRB REQUIRES EMPLOYERS TO POST NOTICE REGARDING EMPLOYEE RIGHTS

The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB or "the Board") issued a final rule mandating private sector employers subject to the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) to post a notice informing employees of their rights under the NLRA in a "conspicuous place" readily seen by employees. The rule goes into effect on November 14, 2011.  Click here to read on.
 

SAM HOUSTON STATE UNIVERSITY HOSTS CAREER FAIR

The Sam Houston State University, Agricultural & Industrial Sciences Department, Industrial Technology Program will have a career fair Thursday September 22, 2011. This career fair is intended to introduce the students to potential occupational offerings and to introduce prospective employers to students of this program.

The Industrial Technology Program offers degrees in Construction Management, Design & Development, Electronics, and Industrial Education.
