Will You Be Fooled this Year?
Reminiscing about my childhood, April Fools' Day seemed to sneak up on us every year; all of us, except for my Dad. Most mornings, my sister and I would be getting ready for school in our usual haze. So, my Dad would capitalize on our oblivious state and in the early hours of April 1st, he would catch us off guard with a quick one liner about school, exams, or something absurd about the weather. After a few moments of pondering what he said, he'd exclaim with a smirk "April Fools!" and we'd all start laughing. He was always the first to fool us on that day and the first to remind us not to be duped again. As a business owner, don't be fooled by your customers in thinking they remember you every time they need your product or service.
Businesses abound today and customers have many choices. However, there is a way to prove superior and connect with your clientele to flourish your relationships over time. Email marketing campaigns can be powerful, and they can place you above the competition while enhancing your business connections.
Many times, here at My NewsGirl, we sense the anxiety of our clients as they feel challenged by what to say to their own customers on a regular basis. There are many guidelines for email newsletter content that can spark creativity. One such article is called "Content that Writes Itself", by Jeff Ferrazzo, Constant Contact Regional Development Director, Minnesota. Jeff expands on four suggestions for content which are:
-
Link Articles of Interest - as an expert in your field, share the knowledge you gain with your customers.
-
Republish Articles (with Permission) - if you've read recent tips, republish it for your readers.
-
Answer Questions - answer frequently asked questions.
-
Promote Area Events - local events may be of interest to your clients or they can visit your business outside of your regular location. Click here to read the full article.
There are many ways to communicate with your customers so you can maintain the relationships you've worked so hard to build. If you are interested in how My NewsGirl can help you create a consistent email marketing campaign, call us at 203-938-3252. So, enjoy the day tomorrow as you engage in the lighthearted jokes and hopefully, with this fair warning, you will not be made the fool by your friends or customers!
