Exciting things have been happening at GreenCircle Certified, LLC in the first quarter of 2012! Third-party certification has quickly been gaining ground as our clients, as well as the global marketplace, acknowledge the value of having sustainability claims validated... and they rely on GreenCircle to provide Transparency You Can Trust.
For example, Carbon Footprint Reduction certification, one of our 8 certifications offered, has been well received across many industries. Carbon footprint reduction on a corporate-wide or facility level is a significant sustainability initiative shared by forward-thinking companies, and an achievement that should be recognized. Reducing the carbon footprint of operations is a requirement of certain global supply chains, and companies that have made substantial strides benefit greatly from marketing their reduced impacts.

Carbon Footprint Reduction Certification
GreenCircle Certified, LLC offers third-party verification of Carbon Footprint Reductions. This certification can be achieved on a facility or corporate-wide basis. GreenCircle's rigorous evaluation process provides trusted transparency that ensures a manufacturer's product claims are valid. The analysis for carbon footprint reduction is conducted according to the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and IPCC Guidelines.
A carbon footprint is the total amount of carbon dioxide (CO²) and other greenhouse gases emitted over the full life cycle of a product or service. Carbon footprinting is used to benchmark the level of CO² generated by a facility or in the production of a product.
Reducing the carbon footprint of your operations benefits the environment but most importantly your bottom line. Financial savings and incentives can be achieved by changing common practices and taking steps to reduce impacts.
